Fish Oil
Fish oil is used for a wide range of conditions and contain a number of essential fatty acids; two of the most important omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish oil are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Fish Oil is most often used for conditions related to the heart and blood system.
One of the most common usages for fish oil is to lower blood pressure or triglyceride levels (fats related to cholesterol) and fish oil has also been trialed for preventing heart disease or stroke. Evidence suggests that fish oil really does lower high triglycerides, and it also seems to help prevent heart disease and stroke when taken in the recommended amounts.
Fish Oil has also earned notoriety as a “brain food”, a joint supplement and as support for healthy eyes and skin.
It is recommended that the body needs 1-4gms of pure fish oil per day, depending on the requirement and taking a fish oil supplement is a simply and effective way to support heart, brain, joint, skin and eye health.
